## About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tech-Savvies. Tech-Savvies is the trading name of Peter Parizhsky, a sole proprietor based in New York, NY. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Tech-Savvies. “You” means you, or the business you act for.

The section on using this website applies whenever you visit tech-savvies.com. The rest of these terms apply when you accept a quote from us or book our monthly plan.

## Using this website

- What you read on this website is general information. It isn’t advice for your business.
- Our prices can change. When they do, we update our [Solutions page](https://tech-savvies.com/solutions/). A quote you’ve already accepted keeps its price.
- A link to another website isn’t an endorsement of that site. We don’t control other websites.

## Quotes and starting work

- Before we start, we send you a written quote. An email counts. It says what we’ll do and what it costs.
- Work starts once you accept the quote in writing and pay the deposit. A reply by email is enough to accept.
- If you ask for something that isn’t in the quote, we tell you the price first. We only do that work once you agree to it in writing.

## Prices and payment

Our prices are the ones on our [Solutions page](https://tech-savvies.com/solutions/):

- **Website Launch:** $250–$375, set by tier.
  - Tier 1, One-Page Scroller: $250
  - Tier 2, Custom Brochure Site: $275
  - Tier 3, Polished Showcase Site: $300
  - Tier 4, Editable and Integrated Site: $330
  - Tier 5, Sales-Ready Site: $375
  - Rush: $375 for a Tier 1, 2 or 3 site. We aim to deliver it within 5 days. Tiers 4 and 5 can’t be rushed.
- **Website Rescue:** $200 flat fee. Rush: $250, and we aim to finish the Rescue within 5 days.
- **Google Business Profile and social media, one-time fix:** $50 flat fee.
- **Monthly management:** $50/month. See [Monthly plan](https://tech-savvies.com/terms/#monthly-plan).

### Rush orders

The 5 days start once we have your deposit and all the content we need, such as text, photos and logins. If we take longer than 5 days, and we aren’t waiting on you, you pay the normal price instead. That’s the tier price for a Website Launch, or $200 for a Website Rescue. We take the difference off the second half of your payment. ### When and how you pay

- **Projects:** 50% deposit before work starts, and the other 50% when we deliver. Projects are Website Launch, Website Rescue and the one-time fix.
- **Monthly management:** $50 paid in full when you book each month.
- **How to pay:** Venmo or bank transfer. We don’t take cards, and we don’t add payment fees.
- **Sales tax:** our prices don’t include sales tax. If it applies, we’ll tell you the amount before you pay anything.

## Timelines

Any timeline we give you is an estimate. It depends on getting your content and your feedback when planned. Content means things like your text, photos, logo and logins. If they arrive later, the finish date moves later too.

## Revisions

You get unlimited revisions within the agreed scope. One round of revisions is one set of changes that you send us together. We make those changes and send the work back for you to review. There’s no limit on rounds, as long as the changes stay within the scope of your quote.

A new page or feature is outside the scope. We quote it first, as explained under [Quotes and starting work](https://tech-savvies.com/terms/#quotes).

## Completion guarantee

Completion guarantee: no extra billing if a project takes longer than expected.

This means the price in your accepted quote is the most you pay us for the work in that quote. If the work takes us longer than we thought, you don’t pay more. If you’ve paid more than that, we refund the extra, as our [Refund Policy](https://tech-savvies.com/refunds/#if-we-miss-a-promise) explains.

It’s also why there are no surprise invoices. You only ever pay:

- the price in your accepted quote;
- the price of any extra work you agree to in writing;
- sales tax, if it applies, which we tell you before you pay;
- outside costs that you pay to other companies directly, listed below.

## What we need from you

- Send us content that is accurate.
- Only send us text, photos, logos and other material that you own or have permission to use.
- Answer our questions and send your feedback on time.

## Domain, hosting and other outside costs

- **Domain name:** you buy it from the registrar, and it’s registered in your name. We guide you through buying it and set it up. You pay the registrar directly, including each yearly renewal. Most names cost about $10–$20 a year, and names in high demand cost more.
- **Hosting:** $0 while your site fits Netlify’s free plan on our account. If it outgrows that plan, we move it to a hosting account in your name, and you pay that host directly.
- **Hosting for a Rescue:** your choice. Keep your current host and keep paying it, or move the site to our Netlify account on the same terms as above.
- **Paid tools and images:** we use free plans and free images by default. A paid plugin, service or stock image is used only with your approval, and you pay its provider directly.
- **Online payments (Tier 5):** Stripe or Square takes its own fee from each sale you make.

These companies have their own terms, which apply when you use them. We don’t control their prices or their services.

## Who owns the work

- Once you’ve paid in full, you own the finished site. That includes its design, its code and the content we made for it.
- Content you gave us stays yours.
- Parts made by other companies stay under their makers’ licences. Examples are a CMS, a booking calendar or a plugin.
- We only show your site in our portfolio with your written permission.

## Monthly plan

Monthly management costs $50/month. It’s ongoing upkeep, paid in full when you book each month. It doesn’t renew on its own, so there’s nothing to cancel.

- **What’s included:** upkeep of your Google Business Profile and your social media.
- **When you pay:** you pay the $50 in full when you book. Each booking covers 30 days, starting on the day your payment arrives.
- **No automatic renewal:** the plan doesn’t renew on its own, and we never charge you automatically. To keep going, book and pay for another month the same way you booked the first.
- **Stopping:** there’s nothing to cancel and no fee. If you don’t book again, the plan ends when your 30 days are up.
- **Part of a month:** a month you’ve paid for runs to the end of its 30 days. If you stop needing it before then, we don’t refund part of the month. See our [Refund Policy](https://tech-savvies.com/refunds/#monthly-plan).
- **Price changes:** a month you’ve paid for keeps its price. A new price applies only to months you book after we post it on our Solutions page.

## No promised results

We do the work we list, but we can’t promise what it will lead to. We don’t guarantee search rankings, website traffic, social media followers or sales. Google and social media companies set their own rules, and they can change them at any time.

## Free fixes after delivery

For 30 days after we deliver a Website Launch or a Website Rescue, we fix bugs and make tweaks for free. This covers anything that doesn’t work as agreed. It also covers changes to the work we built if you don’t like how it turned out. A new page or feature isn’t included; we quote that first. To ask for a fix, email us.

If something in the agreed work can’t be fixed, you can ask for a refund for that part within the same 30 days. The one-time Google Business Profile and social media fix has no free-fix period and no refund after delivery. ## Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

- The most we owe you for any claim is what you paid us for the project the claim is about. For the monthly plan, it’s what you paid for the month the claim is about.
- We aren’t responsible for indirect loss, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data.

These limits don’t apply where the law says they can’t.

## Age

To hire us you must be 18 or older. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and will be our client for the project, including payment.

## Ending a project

- Either of us can end a project at any time by email.
- If a project ends before work starts, we refund everything you’ve paid. See our [Refund Policy](https://tech-savvies.com/refunds/#before-work-starts).
- If it ends partway through, you pay for the work done up to that point. We email you the amount and how we worked it out. If your deposit is more than that, we refund the difference. See our [Refund Policy](https://tech-savvies.com/refunds/#during-a-project).
- We send you the files for the work you’ve paid for.

## Disputes and the law

If you have a problem, please email us first at [info@tech-savvies.com](mailto:info@tech-savvies.com). We reply within 1 business day and will try to sort it out with you.

New York State law applies to these terms. Court cases about these terms go to the courts in New York County (Manhattan). If the law lets you bring a case somewhere else, you still can.

## Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. A change doesn’t affect a quote you’ve already accepted or a month you’ve already paid for. Those keep the terms that applied when you accepted or paid.
