Summary

  • We collect what you send through our contact form and by email. Our host also records your IP address.
  • We use it to reply to you and to do the work you ask for. We don’t sell it or use it for ads.
  • This website doesn’t set cookies or use advertising or tracking tools.
  • We delete form messages after 6 months and emails after 12 months.
  • To see, correct or delete your data, use your rights: one email, and it’s free.

What we collect

When you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, the service you want and your message. You can also give your business name or current website.

When you send the form, Netlify, our host, also stores your IP address and the time you sent it.

When you visit this website

Netlify serves this website. Its servers get the technical details of each visit: your IP address, your browser type, the page that sent you here, the page you asked for, your country and the time.

When you email us

We get your email address, your message and any files you attach.

When you become a client

We keep your contact details, your invoices and records of your payments by Venmo or bank transfer. We also keep your site’s files and content. Some clients add us as a manager on their Google Business Profile or social media accounts. Others share a login with us.

How we use it

  • To reply to your message and give you a quote.
  • To do the work you hire us for, get paid and keep tax records.
  • To protect the site and the form from spam and abuse. This is what your IP address is for.
  • To count how many people visit and which pages they read.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your personal data.
  • We don’t “share” it in the sense of California’s privacy law, which means giving it out for ads that follow you across websites.
  • We don’t use your data for targeted advertising.
  • We don’t send marketing emails. We won’t send you any unless you sign up for them separately.

Who we share it with

At Tech-Savvies, only Peter Parizhsky, who runs the business, can see your messages and files. We have no staff, freelancers or subcontractors.

This site links to other sites, such as grisha.studio. If you click one of those links, that site gets your IP address and sees that you came from tech-savvies.com.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use advertising or tracking tools. Our host counts page visits from its server logs, without cookies. It counts unique visitors by IP address. It shows us our top pages, where visitors came from and their general location.

The older version of our website, which this one replaced, used Microsoft Clarity. Clarity is a Microsoft tool that records how visitors use a page. This version doesn’t use Clarity.

We don’t track you across websites, so we treat every visit the same way, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Read our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages, with the IP address and time: we delete them once they’re more than 6 months old. If you become a client, we keep your message with your client records.
  • Emails, including the email copy of each form message: we delete them once they’re more than 12 months old. Then we empty the trash.
  • Invoices and payment records: as long as tax rules require. We’re confirming the exact period with an accountant.
  • Passwords you share with us: we delete them when the work ends. You can remove our manager access to your accounts at any time.

We look for old data and delete it on the first Monday of January, April, July and October.

Netlify’s data processing terms say it keeps its own service logs online for 90 days and offline for 1 year.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • never send you marketing email. We don’t send any today.

Email a data request to info@tech-savvies.com. One email is enough. Say which of the four you want.

How we check it’s you

We reply to the email address we have on file for you and ask you to confirm. We don’t ask for ID documents for simple requests.

What we delete and what we keep

We delete your form messages in Netlify, including any in its spam list, the notification emails in our inbox, our email threads with you, and our notes and project files about you. We also remove ourselves from client accounts you gave us access to, and delete any password you shared.

We keep invoices and payment records for as long as the law requires (see accountant). We use them only for tax and accounting, and delete them when that period ends.

How long it takes

We reply within 1 business day to say we have your request. We finish it within 10 business days. If we can’t delete something, we tell you what and why.

Cost and fair treatment

There’s no charge. Using your rights doesn’t change how we treat you, the price you pay or the service you get.

Parents and authorised agents

A parent or guardian can send a request for their child. An agent can send one for you, from their own email address, with your written permission. We check with you, at the address we have on file, before we act.

Security

  • At Tech-Savvies, only Peter can open your messages and files.
  • Our Netlify and iCloud accounts use two-step login.
  • If you share a password with us, we keep it in a password manager, never in email or notes. We delete it when the work ends.

Our email isn’t end-to-end encrypted. If you can, add us as a manager on your account instead of sending us a password.

Children

This website and our services are for businesses. They aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If we find that a child under 13 has sent us personal data, we delete it and don’t use it.

If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us. If we learn that someone under 18 has written to us, we use their details only to reply and to reach their parent or guardian. We don’t use them for anything else. If no parent or guardian gets in touch, we delete the details within 30 days of learning their age.

If you’re a parent or guardian and think your child sent us something, email info@tech-savvies.com. We’ll delete it within 30 days.

Visitors outside the US

We run Tech-Savvies from the United States and handle your data here, though the services we use may store it in other countries.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
